Fire Risk Assessments
Fire safety legislation states that virtually all non-domestic properties in Northern Ireland should hold a current and inclusive fire risk assessment carried out by a competent person.
The assessment is an organised and methodical examination of your premises, which is not only a legal requirement but often requires expert knowledge to get it right.
Whatever business sector you are in, our accredited assessors will work alongside you, ensuring you are provided with a full and detailed report in accordance with current recognised standards.
We will conduct a site survey of your premises, evaluate the activities within your building and make judgements on your exposure to fire risk. Our objective is to eliminate or lessen the risk, minimising the likelihood of a fire starting.
In general terms we will:
- Identify fire hazards
- Carry out an examination of existing fire protection measures
- Make an appraisal on the current level of fire safety management
- Make a judgement on the current level of fire risk and identify people who are exposed to this risk
- Complete an action plan, containing proposals to reduce the level of risk if necessary
Upon completion we will present you with a full report laid out in a format widely accepted by the enforcing authorities. We will provide you with a full analysis and explanation of any recommendations made by us and contained within the action plan of your risk assessment.

Fire Safety Policy
It is your responsibility to have in place both an emergency fire action plan and arrangements to implement the plan. A written emergency fire action plan should be kept on the premises, be available to and known by staff and form the basis of the training and instruction provided. This plan should be available for inspection by the Fire Service.
The purpose of the emergency fire action plan is:
- To ensure that your staff and other people on the premises know what to do if there is a fire
- To ensure that appropriate action is taken in the event of a fire and that the premises can be safely evacuated.
We can assist with this and by using our skill and expertise, we guarantee your plan will incorporate the layout of your building, be fit for purpose and dovetail with your fire risk assessment. Your policy will ensure procedures are implemented and established to confirm that all persons on your premises evacuate safely, including those within the building who may have disabilities.
